Simple and pretty maple leaf themed fall mantel decor.

This year’s fall mantel is one of my favorites, and it was by far the easiest I’ve done!

I love how it warmed up this space, and I was so excited to add some rich fall colors to the fireplace mantel for this season.

In the past few years I’ve made small changes to my regular mantel decor for autumn, but this year I wanted to do something more, but still classic and simple.

old maple leaf stems

These stems are LONG at 48 inches and have plenty of those real-life looking brown maple leaves. Each leaf varies in shades and colors.

The leaves range from smaller to fairly large, and I liked how full each stem was:

I bought four of them and placed them leaves out, stems toward the middle with two on each side of the mantel. I made sure to twist the leaves to face forward as much as possible. The wired stems are easy to manipulate and place where you want.

It looked pretty just with the maple leaves, but everything looks better with some soft lighting!

They both played off the tones in the maple stems well.

I already had those LED candles/votives that I dropped inside. When you turn them on they start a timer, so you don’t have to touch them again!

Ours turn on in the evening and stay on for six hours:

I love all those amber, glowy tones! It makes for a cozy focal point in our family room. 🙂

The whole mantel took maybe 15 minutes to throw together and I absolutely love it, especially at night:

You could easily get a similar look with floral stems from the craft store. The key is to fluff them up as much as possible!

A strand of battery-operated twinkly lights would also look lovely tucked into the maple leaf stems!

Do you decorate for fall? I’m really enjoying adding warm, autumn touches around our house this year. I’m feeling more festive than ever for some reason! 🙂
