For homeowners, sometimes it’s all about making the most of their space. And Katie’s experience working with Kitchen Magic was no exception. One of her biggest goals when approaching remodeling her kitchen was seeing how she could completely recreate the functionality and flow of this space to effortlessly work for herself.
Sitting down with experienced remodeling expert, Mike Wharton, they were able to discuss Katie’s wants and needs for the project and Mike was able to make recommendations for how she could take this space back and make it a beautifully inspired 21st century, contemporary space – that we’ve liked to dub “The Space-Saver”.
The Space-Saver features an open-concept plan, with elements that blend beautifully together with Umbra-colored cabinetry and doors in our Legacy style that reflect a luxurious Viatera countertop in Calacatta Sol. What was initially a closed-off space from the rest of the home became an open-concept dream by redistributing the cabinetry, wrapping the countertop around instead of having it broken up, as well as adding organizational features like sliding-door cabinetry access below the bar top section and optional accessories like a trash insert.
The Space-Saver features Cabinet Refacing, a service we’ve offered here at Kitchen Magic for over 40+ years. Refacing is the process of taking the “good bones” of your kitchen and giving them a facelift. With a simple 3 step process which includes removing your doors and drawers and sanding your cabinetry down to a fresh surface, applying highly decorative laminate, and replacing your old doors and drawers with new ones, we’re proud to offer a service that can be done quickly, affordably, and beautifully!
